Next Steps:

  1. Fill out a Puppy Application
    • This does NOT commit you to purchasing a puppy or guarantee approval for the wait list. The application starts a conversation so that we can get to know you, what you are looking for, and determine if a Willow Tails puppy is right for you.
  2. Approval
    • Once the puppy application has been submitted, we will review and respond via email with either an approval or refusal. We reserve the right to refuse anyone at any time for any reason, if we feel an applicant may not be right for one of our puppies. We typically respond within 3 to 5 business days.
  3. Waiting Game
    • If you have been approved for one of our puppies, your name will be placed on our wait list. No reservation fees will be accepted until 2 weeks after litter arrival. Once babies are here and are 2 weeks of age, we will contact families on our wait list, in order, to see who is ready to proceed. We will only accept reservation fees for the number of puppies that are available, as we cannot guarantee litter size, colors, or genders until after they are born.
    • If your family is next on the wait list, you will need to be ready to move forward quickly. Once the non-refundable reservation fee of $500 is paid, your family will be moved from the wait list to the reservation list. The order of the reservation list reflects the order in which families will pick out their puppy.
    • If you are contacted with news of a litter arrival, but it is not the right time for your family just yet, you may pass on this litter and remain on our wait list.
  4. Submit Reservation Fee
    • Now that your family is on the reservation list, it’s time to get ready for bringing your puppy home.
    • Reservation fees can be paid via Zelle, Venmo, or in cash.
    • Families on our reservation list will have access to our Willow Tails Families page, where they can check in periodically and see what the puppies are up to and how they are growing.
    • Families will also have access to our private Getting Ready to Go Home page, which will have shopping lists, must have items, food info, potty training tips, etc
    • Puppy evaluation information can also be found on the Go Home page.
  5. Picking Your Puppy
    • Once the reservation fee has been paid, your name will be added to the Puppy Pick List, in order of the date/time the reservation was made.
    • The higher your name is on the reservation list, the higher your turn to pick your puppy will be – so don’t wait to submit your reservation fee!
    • We reserve the first spot in every litter and the right to keep the pick of the litter.
    • Puppy evaluations will be used to help families and puppies find their right fit.
    • If necessary, we will facilitate a puppy pick if the buyer is unable to physically attend, via phone, video call, etc.
    • Puppy picks will not happen until after evaluations have been completed at 7 weeks of age. This ensures our ability to give our puppies a voice and help match them with the right forever home.
  6. Paying For Your Puppy
    • Final payments will be due after puppy evaluations have been completed and before Go Home Day.
    • We accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal* or credit cards* (*if using PayPal or a credit card, 4% will be added to the total for processing fee.)
    • Checks are not accepted.
    • Families will receive an email with the puppy evaluations, contract to review and sign, and ways to make payment.
    • Puppies will not be released until final payment has been made and has cleared.
    • Puppies must be picked up within 3 days after they turn 8 weeks old.
    • If the buyer is unable to pick up their puppy within the 3 day window, a $20/day puppy-sitting fee will be assessed.
    • Families are responsible for all travel and accommodations involved with puppy pick up.

Please submit the Puppy Application only after:

  1. You have read the Reservation Fee Agreement and Contract and agree to the terms
  2. You and ALL members of your household have agreed on a pet
  3. Once approved, you are ready, willing and able to place the non-refundable $500 reservation fee, as well as the $3000-5000 final payment due at 7-8 weeks of age
